Eco-responsible travel

Eco-responsible travel

Summer and vacations are coming soon, and so is the chance (we hope!) to travel.

Exploring new lands in an eco-responsible way is possible! Of course, this won't totally eliminate the carbon footprint caused by travel, but a few simple gestures, often free of charge, can help limit our impact on the environment.

First and foremost, take the train, bus or even bicycle to get around. If you use the car, think about carpooling and limiting speed (to save fuel) and the use of air conditioning.

Never leave garbage out in the open. It pollutes beaches and forests, and encourages others to do the same. Talk to your children about it. Try to make them aware of nature's beauty and fragility.

Buy as locally as possible. Understanding a new culture also means discovering its gastronomy, products and markets. Always carry one of our organic cotton shopping bags, and refuse plastic bags.

Waste can also be significantly reduced by adopting our reusable products (bottles, cans, straws, cutlery...).

Similarly, choose solid forms of beauty products (soap, toothpaste, shampoo...) that take up less space and are more economical than their liquid versions.

Reducing water consumption (showering rather than bathing) and electricity consumption, and respecting natural areas and protected species are all ways of acting in favor of sustainable development.

And beyond the trip, the most important thing is to continue adopting this behavior, even when you get home!
